Chinese Herbs

Traditional Chinese herbal remedy is one of the oldest systems of health supplement in the world. It is one of the most important therapies in Traditional Chinese Medicine, but it was largely unexplored outside China until this decade. There are over 400 Chinese herbs in common use. Chinese herbs are believed helping regulate the function of the internal organs and the immune system illnesses such as eczema and stress.

In 2008, Dermatologists at the Chinese University of Hong Kong found a Chinese herbal mixture had a dramatic improvement on eczema sufferers aged five to 21. ¹

In 2007, A study involving nearly 3,500 women in several countries suggests that Chinese herbs might be more effective in relieving menstrual cramps than drugs, acupuncture or heat compression. ²

It is very important that you have your treatments with a qualified Chinese medicine practitioner. Our well trained practitioners prescribe combinations of herbs (carefully selecting around 10 – 15 kinds usually from a total of more than 400) specifically suited to treat you and your condition.

Each prescription is tailor-made. The herbs are processed, cooked and then drunk as a decoction or taken in granule form.   Concentrated herbal granule is produced using low temperature then extracted and concentrated from the raw plant. The industry extraction standard is 5:1, meaning for every five pounds of raw materials, one pound of herbal extract is derived. As the extracts are easier and more convenient for patients to take, this method is becoming increasingly more popular in our modern world.  Some of our classic prescriptions are also available in capsule form.
